What is Colon Therapy/ Colon Hydrotherapy/ Colonics? Colon Hydrotherapy or Colonics is the safe, gentile flushing of warm filtered water into the rectum using no chemicals or drugs. This is a restorative, painless procedure which can be both relaxing and effective. The individual lies comfortably on their back and a small speculum is gently inserted into the rectum. The therapist then monitors the temperature and pressure of the water through a series of filling the colon with water and then releasing it to flush more of the contents out with each fill. This process is repeated throughout the 40-45 min. session. Depending on the condition of the individual colon this procedure may need to be done more than once within a 2 week time frame to cleanse the entire colon. The average number for this is 3 therapies. All of the tubing and speculums are individually wrapped, disposable sets which eliminates any possible contamination to the client from a previous procedure. The system is a closed system which means the waste material is eliminated through the tube, and directly down the drain, avoiding any offensive odor. There is a viewing tube so you may with the therapist view what is released. Our therapist is friendly, gentle and professional.
